The top business credit cards

Best small business credit cards of 2017

When you’re comparing business credit cards, there are a variety of different factors to consider. Things like the APR rate, payment details, and credit lines differ depending on the account holder’s credit history and profile, so it’s very hard to compare them.

For the sake of this article, we’re going to look at the best business credit cards on the market in terms of signup bonuses and rewards. Business credit cards are generally (though not always) more generous in terms of the signup bonuses and rewards. That said, most cards will require a business card holder to spend more than a personal card would in the first few months (in the order of thousands of dollars) to qualify for those generous signup bonuses.

Take the Chase Ink Business Cash Card, for example — it offers $300 back. But you have to spend $3000 during the first three months. The American Express Business Platinum Card also offers strong rewards with a really high spending hurdle. You’ll have to spend $10,000 in the first three months to qualify for 50,000 Membership Rewards (it’s a tiered card — there are bigger signup bonuses if you spend $20,000).

Before you jump into our list, head on over to some of our articles that can assist you in doing your research on business credit cards. We have a lot on how credit works and how your credit history and score impact your use of business credit cards.

Best all-around business credit card

The Blue Business℠ Plus Credit Card from American Express

Why we like this card: It doesn’t offer hefty signup bonuses like many of the offers from the other cards on this list, but as an everyday spending card, holders will receive 2x points on the first $50,000 their businesses spend with the Blue Business Plus card.
